St Marys College Gym

The St Mary's College gym's focus was around building a multi-functional building, housing not only indoor sports, but also five new classrooms, a stage, storage areas, and the ability to conduct school assemblies. 

The gym was designed by RCC to utilise precast Monarc concrete panels, giving a modern appearance whilst also being extremely robust. During the manufacturing phase of the panels, RCC was involved in checks to ensure they were build to the standards of our architects. Once built, added protection was added to any locations where potential damage might occur, namely at the base of the panels and any joins. 

Poor winter during the construction of the gym didn't extend our programme and the project was complete on time to an extremely high quality. 

The project won a 2014 Property Council Award in the Education Category
