Remediation
Bridgewater Paihia Apartments
This isolation introduced issues such as being physically distant from suppliers and subcontractors, as well as consultants, with whom we normally work closely with for site inspections and instruction. The occupation of the site throughout the project meant our management presented issues around safety and planning.
A solution to these challenges came through our meticulous planning and communication.
Our Quality Assurance Plan/site records were of particular note and held as a key component to this, giving consultants access to the most up-to-date information. The high quality of these plans and records allowed for the most productive use of their time when visiting the site, giving the opportunity to ameliorate issues before they arose and a degree of comfort and transparency.
Our Site Specific Safety Plan was developed and agreed with all stakeholders to ensure comfort to those residing in the complex during the project, whilst complying to the highest degree of safety standards. In complying with Council Certificate of Public Use requirements, RCC built temporary walls against parts of the complex, which, along with strong communication, ensured the safety of residents at the apartments.
