KiwiHarvest works to divert otherwise wasted food to people whom are in need. Kiwiharvest rescues 170,000 - 200,000kgs of good quality surplus food every month, and diverts this back to people who are struggling across New Zealand. They work with food businesses, including supermarkets, wholesalers, producers, cafes, restaurants, and hotels, to rescue the good food that they are not able to sell – whether that is because of oversupply, damaged packaging, cancelled orders, mislabelling, or because the food is nearing its best before date or end of life.

RCC Group has supported the KiwiHarvest mission and purchased over 4000 meals.

A conservation charity bringing together business, community, and everyday Kiwis, with the vision of helping plant millions of native trees across the country. RCC Group supports Trees that Count with the planting of native trees throughout New Zealand. 

The Trees That Count marketplace provides a place for all New Zealanders to fund or gift native trees. This support is matched with planters throughout the country who are restoring, and growing, precious wildlife corridors or pockets of native forest, turning small projects into mighty ones.

Million Metres is New Zealand’s only dedicated programme for connecting local waterway restoration projects with large scale funding and resources. Million Metres is an initiative of the Sustainable Business Network.

Their purpose is to connect and resource people to accelerate quality waterway restoration, with the long term dream of seeing the people of Aotearoa united to restore the mauri (life force) of their precious waterways. So far, they’ve supported more than 70 waterway restoration projects across Aotearoa, fundraising over $2 million. This is enabling more than 74,000 metres of waterways to be replanted, with over half a million plants and trees.

New Zealand’s kiwi population is in decline, with more than 27 kiwi dying every week. Kiwis for kiwi is working to enable kiwi to flourish in their natural habitat, to take them from endangered to everywhere. We fund community-led kiwi conservation groups to help with predator control, kiwi population monitoring and community engagement, as well as providing access to expert knowledge, training, and education. We want to inspire a passion in all New Zealanders to join in the fight to save our national icon. Our goal is to reverse the current decline of kiwi and start growing their numbers.

RCC Group have supported the Westpac Helicopter for over 20 years. The Auckland based Westpac Rescue Helicopter is staffed full-time by a highly experienced flight crew consisting of pilots, paramedics, and crewmen, and operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. In addition to this, the Pre-Hospital and Retrieval Medicine (PHRM) service complements the team with specialist trauma physicians to deliver the best possible standards of patient care.

RCC Group supports the Auckland City Mission Christmas Appeal purchasing a selection of gifts for children in need. The City Mission provides Christmas food and gift services in Auckland. They also work with partner organisations to provide food and gifts to whānau in their local communities outside the CBD. The Auckland City Mission needs at least 30,000 gifts to share for youngsters and families who will otherwise go without at Christmas. And the foodbank for Christmas is in urgent need of refilling, or many will go hungry over the Festive Season.

Building LegaSea offers a common commitment, for construction industry leaders to support LegaSea’s work in defending of the New Zealand public’s right to a meaningful fishing experience. Many of our staff have a particular affection for the ocean and fishing as such RCC Group have signed up as a Building LegaSea supporter. 

LegaSea was established by the New Zealand Sport Fishing Council in 2012 to elevate public awareness of the issues that affect recreational fishers and inspire people to support us. This support funds advocacy, alignment, education, and research.
